David Gerardi, 22, of Moon Township, a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps is inducted into the Hall of Valor during a ceremony on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum in Oakland. Gerardi, received the Silver Star for his actions in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
