The Eyes of Freedom by Justin Merriman

TOP: William Howley of New Castle, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, looks over the Lima Company Memorial "The Eyes of Freedom," on display at the Cremation & Funeral Care in McMurray on Monday.  The traveling exhibit pays tribute to the twenty-two Marines and one Navy Corpsman of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Regiment, who died in Iraq in 2005. BOTTOM: Mike Strahle, director of the Lima Company Memorial "The Eyes of Freedom," (at right) stands near a painting of Christopher Dixon, left, Travis Youngblood, center, and Wesley Davids, right, who were killed in by an IED on May 11, 2005 in Iraq.  Strahle was riding in the same vehicle as Dixon and Davids and was wounded in the blast.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee joins the band and plays bass at the St. Barnabas Charities Founder's Day 2014 event at the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry Township on Thursday evening, May 1, 2014. Gov. Huckabee was this year's recipient of the Gouverneur P. Hance Award, a prestigious award, named after the founder of St. Barnabas, presented annually to a person of national acclaim who exemplifies Hance's ideals of benevolence, patriotism, and service to others.
