Carnegie Mellon University Alumnus Billy Porter, the Tony-winning Broadway star, gets a hug from Rebecca Liu, 19, a CMU student and self proclaimed "huge fan," on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 as he greeted students at the school. Porter, who received the award for his performance in "Kinky Boots" visited the campus to talk to students as part of activities leading up to his receiving a special proclamation by City Council on Tuesday, Oct. 1 declaring it “Billy Porter Day” in Pittsburgh.

artist Florentijn Hofman and kicks off the American debut of his Rubber
Duck Project and start of Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Pittsburgh
International Festival of Firsts.
