Stanley Markiewicz of Mt. Pleasant, a member of the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post 446, salutes as the national anthem is sung during a groundbreaking on October 25, 2011 for a new Fisher House at the VA Hospital in Oakland. The facility will allow families and caregivers of veterans to stay close to their loved ones during treatment at the hospital.
