John McCabe, executive vice president and COO of Soldiers and Sailors, holds a unique Civil War sword, willed to the museum by Capt. Agustus Plummer Davis, a prominent Pittsburgh businessman and member of the Grand Army of the Republic. The sword was purchased by a collector from a local antique market.
