Vaccines

PhD. Kirsten Schneider Ohrum, 38, a research associate at the Ted Ross Laboratory in the Center for Vaccine Research at the University of Pittsburgh, holds a viral plaque titer plate with the flu virus on it. The plates are used to determine the amount of virus in a sample. The lab is working on research to produce a vaccine without having to incubate eggs, to shorten the time required.
